Yale Banner Publications produces and markets Yale's Undergraduate Yearbook, the nation's longest-running collegiate annual. The Yale Banner aims to document the history of Yale College and publish it in an annual catalog of student life at Yale.
As a chronicle of the comings and goings of our undergraduate organizations, athletic teams, residential colleges, university-wide events, and student body, the Yale Banner yearbook preserves a time-honored New Haven tradition and carries forth the legacy of the United States’ first collegiate yearbook, printed at Yale in 1841. The 2016 Yale Banner celebrates the 175th anniversary of the publication.
In addition to the production of the annual yearbook, the Yale Banner engages with Yale’s alumni community, journalists, researchers, and others interested in our unique content. Archive yearbooks in our inventory are made available for sale to interested parties, and we provide licensing agreements for academic and commercial use of our content. This revenue is used to subsidize the Banner’s day-to-day operations and our senior class engagement activities.
